What CounterSpy Does NOT Do

No Tracking

• On-Device Operation:
  We do not track your personal data or location. All processing occurs locally on your device, and no information is sent to external servers for tracking purposes.

No Data Storage on External Servers

• Local-Only Storage:
  All scan data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s built-in UserDefaults framework. We do not maintain any external database or online history. Only the minimal scan history necessary for the app’s functionality is retained, and it remains confined to your device’s local storage.

No Data Sharing

• Privacy First:
  Your information remains private. CounterSpy does not share any data with third parties. The only external integration is with Google AdMob for serving ads, and we do not modify or track ad content.

No Unauthorized Surveillance

• Intended Use Only:
  CounterSpy is designed exclusively as a personal safety tool to help you detect potential unauthorized surveillance (such as hidden cameras used for nefarious purposes). It is intended for use in situations where you want to enhance your security—such as in hotels, Airbnbs, or other accommodations.

External Integrations

Google AdMob

  CounterSpy is supported solely by ads provided through Google AdMob. Google’s policies govern the ad experience, and we do not have any influence over or access to the ad content. This is our only external integration.

Data Storage & Privacy Limitations

  All data (minimal scan history) is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data is not sensitive, is not shared externally, and is retained only as long as necessary for immediate functionality.

Limitation of Liability

• No application, including CounterSpy, can guarantee complete security, privacy, or the detection of all hidden devices.

Additional Provisions
